What to expect ?
- Get picked up from the airport or your hotel in the Delhi NCR area at around 7:00 am, before being taken to the Nizamuddin railway station. Enjoy the 90-minute air-conditioned train journey that departs at 8:00 am with complimentary breakfast. At 9:30 am, you will reach Agra Cantt railway station. Upon exit, you will be met by your private guide with your name sign.
- Start the tour by visiting the Taj Mahal, one of the 7 wonders of the world. Admire the beauty of the Taj Mahal, and learn about the remarkable story of how and why it was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial for his beloved wife, Mumtaz. Your guide can assist in taking photos for you at the best spots at the Taj Mahal.
- After touring the Taj Mahal for approximately 2 hours, you will be guided to the nearby Agra Fort, which is another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Following this 45-minute tour of Agra Fort tour, enjoy a lunch break at an authentic multi-cuisine Indian restaurant.
- Once you have enjoyed your lunch, visit Baby Taj, the first Mughal structure built completely from marble. The monument makes extensive use of Pietra Dura, and sits magnificently on the Yamuna River, making for excellent views.
- At around 4:30 pm, begin your return journey back Agra Cantt Railway station, where you will take the Gatimaan train departing at 5:45 PM to Delhi with supper on board. Upon arrival, you will be transferred back to your desired location in Delhi by private car.
Itinerary
Pickup - New Delhi - Agra (For Taj Mahal Tour)
06:30 AM: Pick up from the hotel in Delhi. Drive to Nizamuddin Railway Station to catch the superfast train for Agra, you will be provided with E-tickets either on email or through our representative.The train will depart at 08:00 AM.
Note: Do carry a valid ID proof along with you when you sit in the train, ID proof could be Passport copy, driving license, etc.
09:50 am: Arrival at Agra and Explore Taj Mahal
Arriving at the city of love, Agra. Where the guide and driver would be waiting to welcome you in front of the exit of the railway station (Agra Cantt) with your name board and then taking you to the magnificent monument and one of the 7 wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal. The monument holds a grand history of love and affection of the emperor Shah Jahan to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, which was made in the 16th century.
Expected time of stay in the mausoleum 1 hour 30 minutes.
12:30 pm: Explore Agra Fort
Afterward, you explore the heart of the Mughal Empire, Agra Fort. This building itself gives you the view of the glorious rule of the Mughals. Expected time of stay in Agra Fort 1 hour.
02:00 pm: Lunch at the Restaurant
After the end of fort moving towards lunch at a multi-cuisine air-conditioned restaurant providing you different flours of this city.
03:00 pm: Shopping
You may wish to enjoy shopping in Agra is known for its fabulous handicrafts, made of marble and soft stone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts. Empress Nur Jahan took personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in zari embroidery work. Agra’s major handicraft products besides inlay work are leatherware, brassware, carpets, jewelry and embroidery work.
05:00 pm: Drive to Agra Cantt
Head towards Agra Cantt Station for boarding the train back to Delhi. Sit peacefully in the train.
05:50 pm: Train leaves the Agra Cantt Station.
