Paragliding in Pokhara takes off from Sarangkot. Sarangkot lies at an altitude of 1700 m and has always been popular for viewing sunrise and sunsets.
Jumping off from that high should promise better things than just adrenaline rush, right? Yes, the jump enables you to see three peaks higher than 8000 m, the view of the lakes and monasteries, jungles and the entire city. The 30-40 minutes long flight is a moment that will stay in your head forever for it is going to be one of the most enthralling experiences of your lifetime. The experience of soaring high in the sky like a bird, getting bird eye view of the Annapurna Range, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal, Hiunchuli, and Phewa Lake, Rivers, green fields is why one should give paragliding in Pokhara a shot. The best season for paragliding is usually from October to May and there are normally three flight timings 9:30 am, 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.

Travel Insurance:
Travel insurance is highly recommended and is, in fact, compulsory should you be going Paragliding. We require that, at a minimum, you are covered for personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, helicopter rescue, loss of luggage, etc. strongly recommend that the policy also covers personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects. Please check with your insurance company that adventure activities are covered in your policy, as some companies do not cover such things. You must carry proof of insurance certificate with you on the holiday.
