Everest Region is the most prodigious trekking area in Nepal. To get close to the Mt. Everest, you must hike for a week or Fly to Lukla, a remote mountain airstrip where flights are notoriously adventurous. In this trek, trekkers would get the opportunity to explore the typical lifestyle of the sherpas community. While trekking to fewer ambitions destination such as Namche Bazaar, the administrative headquarters of the Khumbu region, Khumjung or Thame, which are more typical Sherpa villages or Tengboche monastery, from Tengboche you will vibe an excellent view of Everest.

What to expect ?

The Gokyo lakes can also be seen during your visit and they too are a sight to behold. You’ll witness the amazing mountains like Everest, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku from the Everest base camp and finally, you will cross the Cho La Pass.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport - (1360m.) 

On your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will pick you from the airport and transfer to the hotel. 

Overnight Kathmandu.


Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

If you wish to comprehend Nepal’s historical and cultural values, sightseeing in Kathmandu valley is crucial. Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is a popular destination for tourists. This city offers a marvelous combination of mix religion of Hinduism, Buddhism, and some imported culture. Kathmandu carries the cultural and religious legacy that can be found at temples, monuments, and artifacts. Patan and Bhaktapur are neighboring cities which reflect a similar legacy. In the half-day tour, you will be guided to Pashupatinath temple and Boudhanath stupa. Pashupatinath is a Hindu Shrine where people worship Lord Shiva whereas Boudhanath is the biggest stupa of Nepal. And for the rest of the day, we will prepare for the trek. You can buy your missing equipment for your trek.

 Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2840M/9317ft), 25 minutes and trek to Phakding (2610M/8562ft), 3-4 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D),

After early morning breakfast, we will depart to the Airport for the flight to Lukla, which is a thrilling scenic flight. Landing on a steep mountain runway brings us to the starting point of our trek at the village of Lukla [2850m]. After assembly of our crew, we will hike up the Dudh Kosi Valley on a well-marked trail.

Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche (3440M/11286ft), 6-7 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D),

After breakfast, we will head towards the mountain town of Namche, we will pass through the suspension bridges and forests. In Monjo, we can enter the reputed 'Sagarmatha National Park' and then we will take a challenging hike to Namche Bazar. If the weather is good, we will have a clear glimpse of Mt.Everest. Namche is the Trading village in the Khumbu.

Day 05: Acclimatize rest and exploring day around Namche (3440M/11286ft), (Lodging + B-L-D),

Namche is placed beautifully between two giant peaks of the Khumbu region and has an abundance of hotels, lodges, tea shops, and souvenir shops. Namche is a perfect place to spend a day, acclimatizing to the new altitude before heading off towards Syangboche. During our acclimatization, we can visit Khunde Hospital which was set-up by Sir Edmund Hillary or go for an hour walk up to the Everest View Hotel for the sunset view of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Everest. We can then walk to Khumjung where we will visit a school established by Hillary. Also, we can hike for Khimde to for some beautiful views.

Day 06: Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3860M/12664ft), 5-6 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D), 

After breakfast, we will start our trek towards Tengboche, enjoying the superb view of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and close up view of Thamserku. Our trek will follow the trail with few ups and downs along with the glorious view of the Himalaya. Then we will cross the prayer flags festooned bridge over Dudh Kosi River to reach Phunki Tenga. Further climb along the tough steep up takes you through the pine forests to Tengboche. Tengboche is a great place for close up views of Ama-Dablam, Nuptse, Everest, and it also has the biggest Buddhist Monastery all over in Khumbu region.

Day 07: Trek from Dole to Machherma (4470M/14665ft), 5-6 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D),

After breakfast, we will trek through the trail that descends to a stream and then crosses the wooden bridge. We will then walk down to Luza (4390m/14399ft) and further trek to Dole. Here, we can take rest and have a cup of tea. From Luza, the trail becomes ups along the side of the valley. We will then cross the higher pastureland and chorten with prayers flags. With the view of eastern part Gokyo valley, Mt. Taboche and Mt. Cholatse we will walk down to Machhermo valley.

Day 08: Trek from Machherma to Gokyo (4790M/15715ft), 5-6 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D),

The trail climbs the edge of the valley with the admirable vision of Kantaga and big Mountain Cho-Oyu. The trail becomes steeper to Kharka but gets easier to Pangka at 4380m. After hard ascends to cross the bridge over the watercourse which flows from Gokyo Lake we will reach Taujun Lake at 4720m/15481ft. Finally, we will climb to the last Lake of Dudha Pokhari at 4750m/15580ft in Gokyo Lake (4790m/15711ft).

Day 09: Trek from Gokyo-Ri (5357M/17575ft) and then back to Gokyo (4790M/15715ft), 5-6 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D), 

After early morning breakfast, we will begin the day’s trek. But before you ascent, ensure that you carry some water, some snacks and lots of warm costumes. The path climbs steep ups directly on top of the Gokyo Lake. After 2h and 0.5-hour of the exhausting climb to Gokyo-Ri at 5340m/17515ft, we will be rewarded with the views of the world's highest mountain. The view if Makalu range is even better than that from Kala Patthar. After lunch, we will hike to the oldest and longest glaciers of Khumbu vale and then trek back to Gokyo.

Day 10: Trek from Gokyo to Dole (4140M/13582ft), 5-6 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D), 

We will descend on a trail beside the Dudh Koshi River and exceed the first Gokyo lakes. The view of Cholatse and Taboche peaks is rewarding throughout the trail. Our shadow descends before climbing a hill. After reaching the chorten at the edge, we will see idyllic views of Thamserku, Cho Oyu, and Kangtega mountains. We will hike past Machhermo, Luza and Lhafarma villages before reaching Dole.

Day 11: Trek from Dole to Namche (3440M/11286ft), 6-7 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D),

After breakfast, we will descend on a steep trail to Phortse Thanga through the forest filled with rhododendrons, wildflowers, waterfalls, mountain goats, musk deer, pheasants, etc. From Mong, we will admire a decent view of Khumbila peak. On our way to Namche, the view of Taboche, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kangtega mountains is stunning.

Day 12: Trek from Namche to Lukla (2840M/9317ft), 5-6 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D),

We will descend on a rocky trail and cross several suspension bridges before walking on an easy trail. The air is hotter as we tend to walk on a similar path to succeed in Lukla. Our trek within the mountain ends once we reach Lukla. We spend our time reminiscing about our time spent on the mountain.

Overnight in Lukla. 


Day 13: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu (1350M/4429ft), 25 minutes, (Lodging + B).
