Choquequirao Trek

Day 1: Cusco – Cachora – Chiquispa

We leave Cusco at 6:00 A.m. until the town of Cachora (3100 m) at approx. 10:00. Day 2: Chiquisca – Playa Rosalina – Sunchupata

After breakfast (5:00 AM), we will continue our Trek toward the playa Rosalina (1550 m), to then climb the slope direction to Santa Rosa (2100 m) place of our lunch, this journey is the harder, then we climb to Maranpata (2850 m), is a more gentle ascent, during this journey you will see all the road on the first day and the vegetation that exists in this place then we will run a straight stretch with Sunchupata direction, here we will have our dinner and camp; from this point is a time to Choquequirao. (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Day 3: Sunchupata – Choquequirao – Chiquisqa

Very early after breakfast we headed to Choquequirao to appreciate the sunrise, visit the Citadel for three hours always accompanied by the guide who rightly explain about this important Inca refuge and the importance of the Apurimac and Rio Blanco rivers thus will also appreciate the Vilcabamba range, then guided the return of Sunchupata we begin and descend to Santa Rosa, to then descend to the playa Rosalina, later we headed up to the populated Chiquisqa here camp. Day 4: Chiquisqa – Capuliyoc – Cachora
