What to expect ?
  1. Clients should expect views and impressive waterfalls, visit the Shangana Cultural Village, or horse ride along the banks of the magnificent Sabie River,
  2. Clients will visit multi-cultural mixture of traditional medicine shops, Chinese restaurants, taxi ranks and ultra modern skyscrapers. There are excellent museums, art galleries and organised tours of historical and political interest. The shopping is Southern Africa’s best and the many restaurants cater for all tastes. The nearby township of Soweto is Johannesburg’s most popular tourist attraction.
  3. At Attraction Arears clients will visit the renowned river boat that offers ‘booze cruises’ up and down the Thamalakane River, and the forest groves of the Maun Game Reserve.
  4. Clients will also see antelope which has found refuge in this pristine wetland ecosystem, while birds such as the African fish eagle, Pel's fishing owl and many others provide a spectacular display.

Itinerary

Day 1: Holiday inn Sandton, Johannesburg

Holiday inn sandton, rivonia road is also central to the sandton convention centre; sandton city, one of the largest shopping centres in the southern hemisphere, and nelson mandela square; which offers a diverse range of restaurants, shops, entertainment and vibrant nightlife.therefore this sandton hotel offers the ideal base for the business and leisure traveller.

Day 2: Khama rhino sanctuary chalets, Botswana

Overnight: khama rhino sanctuary chalets

The khama rhino sanctuary chalets has 8 chalets to choose from located in different areas. Bedding and towels, braai facilities, a bar fridge and electric kettle will be provided for all chalets. There's a curio shop that sells various local crafts, books, maps, souvenirs and postcards. Wood for fires and braais can be bought here, as well as ice, cold drinks and basic provisions.

Also featured at the khama rhino sanctuary is an excellent spot for day-visitors to relax and enjoy the peace of the sanctuary. Visitors can make use of seating, tables, water and braai-stands for their picnic. The restaurant is open to delight day visitors, chalet guests and campers with a variety of tasty traditional dishes as well as delicious regular items. There's also have a swimming pool, which is ideal for cooling and refreshing.


Day 3: Maun lodge, Maun

Maun lodge is situated on the banks of the Thamalakane River and on the doorstep to the famous Okavango delta. Located only 4 km from maun international airport and 2.5 km from the village center and is ideally positioned for both business and holiday visitors.


Accommodation consists of 30 double rooms, 2 of which are suitable for the physically challenged, 20 twin and 4 family rooms, all air conditioned with en-suite bathrooms, extensive bouquet of satellite television, tea and coffee facilities, room and laundry services. There's also 10 deluxe riverfront rooms and 2 presidential suites, all with private verandas, en-suite and fully air- conditioned. For those on a limited budget, there's 12 thatched chalets that are excellent value for money, the chalets are en-suite, fully air conditioned, have tea & coffee facilities and 8 dstv channels. Eight of the chalets cater for families with two beds and a double sleeper couch. The remaining four have two beds each.


Day 4: Xigera Mokoro trails camp, Okavango Delta

Xigera camp (pronounced keejera) lies on the aptly named paradise island, surrounded by deep channels and lush vegetation within a remote area of the productive moremi game reserve. This magnificent area epitomises the permanently flooded section of the okavango delta, with palm-filled islands, riverine forests, a multitude of clear water channels and expansive floodplains.

There are ten raised luxury tents with en-suite facilities, an outdoor shower – and superb views of the classic okavango delta floodplains that surround the camp. Meals and evening drinks are enjoyed in the lounge, bar and dining area overlooking a permanently flowing channel or under the stars in a traditional african boma. For those hot days there is a small plunge pool in which to cool off.


Day 5: Nata lodge campsite, Nata

The campsite surroundings offer peace and tranquillity with backdrop being that of the botswana night sky. The lodge’s campsite is able to accommodate 150 pax and the ablution area’s are stylish with semi open showers offering hot and cold water for that true african feeling. The campsite has central electrical power banks for those requiring electricity. Socket is standard rsa 3 pin round plug 240v.


Day 6: Chobe game lodge, Chobe river front

Each of Chobe game lodge's 4 luxury suites has an individual plunge pool set on a private terrace with breathtaking panoramic views of the endless landscape and open plains. Graceful high arches, quarry tiled floors and barrel vaulted ceilings create an atmosphere of cool tranquillity. All 46 rooms are tastefully furnished, each room with hand crafted rhodesian teak furniture and walls decorated with original african carvings and paintings.


Day 7: Victoria Falls hotel, Victoria falls, Zimbabwe

The Victoria Falls hotel, popularly known as “the grand old lady of the falls”, is situated in the Victoria Falls national park, and is a member of the exclusive leading hotels of the world group. It is one of only three is0-accredited hotels in Zimbabwe.


The Edwardian-style five-star hotel combines the charm of the old with the convenience of the new. Set in lush tropical gardens with lily ponds, palm trees and semi-tropical shrubs, it provides the tranquility and seclusion that many guests seek. The famous Victoria Falls are just a ten-minute walk away using the hotel’s private pathway, and “the smoke that thunders” or “mosi-o-tunya” in the local dialect, is clearly audible and visible from this luxurious landmark.


Day 8: Hwange safari lodge, Hwange national park

Hwange safari lodge caters for a diverse range of individuals and groups from the lone adventurer to couples, families and tour groups. It offers comfort, modern conveniences and the opportunity to experience the real African wild. Guests soon learn that this is the home of the wildlife they have come to see but that they, and the lodge, are guests of the real owners of the land, the elephants, rhino, lions and giraffes.


Day 9: holiday inn Bulawayo, Bulawayo

Holiday inn bulawayo is located a short drive away from the city center. It is situated close to the ascot race course and an excellent 18 hole golf course. The hotel has a total of 157 rooms, all superbly decorated in an elegant style. Some of the rooms overlook the parking lot and the ascot suburb and the others overlook the beautifully manicured gardens and pool area.


The facilities and hotel services at holiday inn bulawayo are designed for both business and leisure. The hotel offers full banqueting and conference facilities, as well as a business center for workshops or conferences. The outdoor swimming pools, children’s playground, as well as the tennis and squash courts, provide the leisure side of the hotel, making the hotel suitable for all types of travelers. Day 10: Palapye, Botswana

Situated on the main a1 highway from gaborone - francistown, palapye benefits a lot from passing trade. Originally established around the railway, palapye was further developed after the discovery of coal and the subsequent construction of two power stations, which can be seen as you approach the town.


The village itself has expanded rapidly in the last few years and the construction of the university will further help to boost the local economy. Few tourists actually go into the centre of palapye as the junction shopping mall and surrounding shops have everything you need.


Although most tourists just pass through palapye, the tswapong hills are worth spending time at and are easily reached – both moremi gorge and old palapye are within an hour’s drive.


Day 11-12 blouberg camp, soutpansberg mountain range

Situated in a secluded spot below the Blouberg Mountains, this area provides wonderful opportunities for hiking and rock climbing. Adventure travelers who have an interest in local culture can enjoy convivial interactions with locals at taverns in the area.


Blouberg cultural camp is situated in the southern foothills of the Blouberg Mountains, and provides a starting point for rock climbers interested in completing this well-known rock face. Foothill hikes through the yellow-wood forest, or climbing to the top of the mountain, are also popular. The camp is popular with birders because it provides easy access to the near-by blouberg reserve with its famous vulture colonies, and an array of game. A short walk to beautiful rock pools for swimming is a wonderful summer refresher.


Visitors interested in meeting the local community can join guides from the camp on an easy walk through the area, and meet the locals at nearby taverns. First stop will be a tavern to meet locals, and experience traditionally brewed beer. If guests have booked a local meal, the group will then move on to the home a local catered where you will be greeted as honored guests and served a traditional banquet. There will be both traditional, as well as western foods on the menu. The evening can then move on to another tavern for post-dinner drinks and will conclude around a camp fire back at camp.


Day 13-14 African ivory route, Kruger national park

All camps have 5 units with 2 beds in each unit. The safari camps have en-suite 'bucket' showers, while the cultural camps have communal ablutions. All camps have no electricity and a communal kitchen for self-catering. This untouched piece of Africa is home to the world-famous big five, as well as superior accommodation, African sunshine, and loads of exciting outdoor activities. A Kruger national park safari is definitely an experience that everyone should enjoy at least once in their lifetime. These unpredictable trips offer an array of viewing opportunities, from thrilling hunts by nature’s most fierce predators to the simple yet majestic views of zebra grazing on the horizon as the sun begins to set.


Day 15-17: Kruger park lodge, hazy view

Tucked away between miles of untamed bushveld lies an oasis of lush green lawns, flowing water and all the luxuries of a gracious lifestyle. It’s called the Kruger park lodge. Built on the banks of the picturesque sabie river and surrounded by indigenous gardens abundant with bird life, impala and hippo, the lodge has something for everyone. Enjoy long walks along our nature trail, relax around one of our three swimming pools or, better still, rise to the challenges offered by our 9 hole gary player designed golf course.
